Welcome to 1st North Sydney Scout Group. Scouting aims to provide a fun, safe, and inclusive community where youth develop physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills.
Sir Robert Baden-Powell started scouting in 1907 with 21 boys camping on Brown Sea Island – it now has over 26 million members worldwide.
1st North Sydney Scout Group was established in 2009 to provide scouting to the Neutral Bay, McMahons Point, Kirribilli, Milsons Point and North Sydney areas. Located next to Sawmillers Reserve, we run a varied program designed to build self-respect, confidence, leadership and teamwork through fun and adventurous activities. There are now over 100 youth members in our group.
Scouts is divided into age-based sections, including:
- Joeys (Ages 5 - 8 yrs) meet on Mondays at 6:00-7:00 pm
- Cubs (Ages 8 - 11 yrs) meet on Thursdays at 6:30-8:00pm
- Scouts (Ages 11 - 15 yrs) meet on Wednesdays at 7:00-8:30pm
- Venturers (Ages 15 - 18 yrs) meet on Mondays at 7:30-9:00 pm
